Our Ethos and History
At One Brick Court, our barristers are specialists in media, communications and information law. We work at the cutting edge of new and evolving legal developments resulting from the rapidly changing legal and technological landscape.
As barristers, our focus is on offering specialist advice, high-calibre representation and responsive client service. We combine our experience and our expertise to bring new perspectives to the legal problems which our clients face and are committed to delivering the best results for our clients.
We recognise that what makes us distinctive is not just the quality of the services we offer, but the manner in which we provide them. Providing legal services in an approachable and accessible manner is an integral part of our barristers’ and clerks’ relationships with clients.
Our members and staff are committed to promoting equality and diversity. Policies are in place to further those objectives.
One Brick Court’s current expertise in media, communication and information law is based on a long-established history as a leading chambers for defamation and media law.
Our specialisation in libel goes back to the 1880s when Sir Hugh Fraser published his first book on defamation. Since then members of Chambers have been leading advocates, published important text books, and have included notable appointments to the Bench.
