Chambers is very sad to announce the death of Sir David Hirst, a former Head of Chambers and a distinguished Judge both at first instance (including service in the Commercial Court) and in the Court of Appeal. His energy, good humour and eye for the detail which mattered were prominent among his many qualities. He will be remembered with great affection. He bore his final illness with typical courage.
